This colonial revival house is three stories tall and five bays wide. It is typically boxy, symmetrical, and includes a strong cornice and corner pilasters. The entrance has Ionic columns in antis with Ionic pilasters and topped by a modified Serliana arch. The name Watermargin comes from a Chinese classic translated by Pearl Buck as All Men are Brothers. The story of fugitives who fight the injustice of the Ming dynasty at the water's margin.
