Photo: Bard Hall
Bard Hall is attached to the east end of Thurston Hall. Its size and shape balances Kimball Hall on the opposite side of Thurston. The materials used in Bard contrast with the brick walls of Thurston-Kimball, by the same architects. The narrow entry facade facing the Engineering Quadrangle is covered in limestone, aluminum, glass and gray-brown Ithaca stone. The longer east side has vertical shafts clad in aluminum. The infill between consists of glass and aluminum panels.
