The symmetrical facade of Riley-Robb is designed in stripped classical style. The facade is raised by two blocks in the center and the ends protrude like pavilions. The roof is flat. The emphasis is on rich materials and polychrome: red granite base and steps; limestone first floor and stringcourse on fourth floor; bright yellow brick covering the second, third and fourth floors; dark veined marble frame of the entrance and in the panels separating the second and third floor windows; silvery aluminum doors. This richness continues in an entrance hall covered in gray, veined marble. The walls of the entrance hall are articulated by fluted pilasters which lack both bases and capitals. The floor is dark terrazzo and edged on the walls in dark marble. The white plaster ceiling is coffered. The rectangular, brass ceiling fixtures are original. The square center fixture has a boarder in a Greek key motif. Bas-relief heads in limestone of Ceres (north), and Pomona (south) flank the exterior flight of stairs. There are two yellow brick and limestone-trimmed extensions to the rear: Agricultural Engineering machine shop (south wing) and Food Science Annex (north wing).
