The Biotechnology Building is the largest of the three occupying the Biological Sciences Quadrangle. It sits on the southeast corner. Its northwest corner is notched to reduce the footprint and impression of bulk. Like Corson/Mudd and Comstock, Biotech faces out rather than inward. The main entrance is off Alumni Fields. This facade is four stories high and seventeen bays wide. The first floor has a loggia raised above Alumni Fields by a grassy bank. It is supported by rectangular pillars faced in white limestone and edged in red brick. These pillars are connected by limestone benches. The rest of the facade is faced in limestone with red brick edging framing large, square windows. The windows have four square panes of green glass separated by white metal mullions. The bay over the entrance is recessed. Four white towers protrude from the flat roof. The facade is asymmetrical, since a portion of the south side extends, though it is set back from the main facade. The south (nearly identical to the front, except the loggia, is blind and a floor has been added), west, and north facades are similar to the east facade in materials and vocabulary, except for bay windows of green glass panels and white metal frames. The conference center is a single-story, rectangular appendage to the northwest. To either side are brick courts and minor entrances.
