Ujamaa is a long rectangular building with projecting wings, thus creating an irregularly shaped structure. Constructed of orange/red brick this low-rise is three stories in height. The design of this building is similar to the North Campus High-Rises. The gabled ends feature recessed walls. The balconies are located within the recesses. The gable sides feature a central projecting wall with windows. The windows are separated vertically by brick spandrels, and have brick lintels and pediments.
