The department produces news and information about events, people and activities within Facilities Services and directs all aspects of communications needs for the division.
The mission of Facilities Services Communications is to increase awareness of the activities within the division, help shape and enhance the University's image, and advance its objectives among all of its constituencies through integrated, strategic communications.
The role of Facilities Services Communications is to develop strategies, create standards, and produce a wide range of communications in support of key priorities relating to the planning, design, construction, transportation, maintenance, utility and administration and operations functions of the division.
The work of Facilities Services Communications includes:
- Act as point of contact for the Buildings and Properties Committee of the Board of Trustees
- Oversee the content and design for the division website http://www.fs.cornell.edu/
- Announce special conditions affecting the campus community
- Represent the Division to CUFA Communications Council, University Communications and CUFANews
- Consult on institutional branding, publications, marketing communications, presentations, announcements, editing and news
